Do You Need Help?
Writing assignments and papers doesn't come easy for everyone. But teachers often use your writing to determine how much you've learned. A term paper can be 50% of your grade... or more! When you've got to write something but are having trouble, or just want a better grade, I can help you gets some ideas, organize them, and put them on the paper without errors.

Got a 20 page term paper? Got an assignment due THIS Friday? Didn't get the grade you wanted on your last paper? No idea of where to start?
Calm down, we've all been there. You are not the first to be facing a deadline or a blank computer screen and begin to think this is impossible. It is possible... even for you. It's not always easy, but with some experienced assistance you can keep going and work faster.
How Can I Help?
Your writing assignment goes through several stages—even if you do some of them quickly or just in your head. I can help you with any or all stages of writing your assignment. Usually, I think about them in this list, but some assignments and some students don't fit neatly into these categories:
- Brainstorming
- Researching
- Outlining
- Writing the First Draft
- Revising and Editing
- Proofreading
- Formatting and Bibliographies
What I CAN'T do
Of course, I can't write the paper for you. Not only is that unethical, it will at best get a poor grade and at worse get us both tossed out of school. This includes doing research for you, making an outline for you, etc. I can help you do all those things. If you're not sure if something is out-of-bounds, contact me or consult your instructor.
How Much Does This Cost?
I'm a student myself, so I know what you are thinking. That's why I keep my expenses and my prices as low as I can. Also, even if you think you cannot afford to get help, contact me and we'll see what we can do.
Standard Rates for the most popular services:
- Proofreading: $1 /page
- Revising and Editing: $2 /page
- Formatting Bibliography: $1.50 /page
- Other regular service are $15 /hour
Please note that these prices are for regular turn-around times. If you need something quickly, like in the next 48 hours, or tomorrow, or (yikes!) sooner, we'll need to negotiate a higher price, though usually the fees are doubled.
How This Works
For the "per page" services (like proofreading or formatting) it is very simple.
- You email the text to me
- I reply to your email with an estimated total price for your project and a link to my PayPal account
- You pay 50% of the estimated total cost
- I apply formatting, suggest changes, or make comments and then send the improved text back to you, along with a final price.
- You then pay the remaining balance of the final price.
The other services (like outlining or researching) change depending on what sort of project you are working on. After we've decided exactly how I can help, we can set up a time to meet (if you're in or around Pittsburgh), or we can video chat, exchange some email, or talk on the phone if that works best. Usually, I'll give you my estimate of how long the service will take and estimate a total price. You can pay about 50% of that price until the project is completed, when the balance of the total price is due.
Document Formats
For the most part, it doesn't matter what document format you send to me (.docx, .page, .rtf, or whatever). And if my help is just dealing with the text, I can send it back in the same format without worrying. However, if formatting is important (say a bibliography), I can either send it as a .pdf document or we can coordinate for a specific word processor document type.
