About
Rev. (Robert) Amos Glenn is currently the Pastor of the Pittsburgh New Church and Principal of the Pittsburgh New Church School. Located in South Point Breeze in the East End of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh New Church School is a small Junior-K through 8th grade school dedicated to educating children for healthy bodies, minds, and spirits in the light of the New Church’s understanding of the development of young minds and the purposes of life. Amos has served as principal since 2002 and loves helping to provide a place where children feel confident in their ability to successfully serve their neighbors through rigorous academics in an atmosphere of innocence and charity. He is proud to be part of a school with a long tradition of excellent New Church education. The school was established in 1885 and is consistently ranked nationally in the top 1% according to standardized testing.
Amos received his Master’s of Divinity from the Academy of the New Church Theological School in Bryn Athyn, PA, USA. This three-year program focuses not only on learning the doctrines of the New Church, but also on training men to teach these ideas to people of all ages. During his time in graduate school, Amos worked at Glencairn Museum in Bryn Athyn assisting in building a very successful undergraduate internship program in Museum Education. Amos also helped to research and write the Ancient Churches Lexicon, a website (and soon to be published lexicon) to help users learn about New Church ideas concerning the spiritual history of the human race in ancient times.
Amos is married to Diahnne and they have three children: Amelia, Gideon, and Oliver. He enjoys reading with his kids and watching movies with his wife.

Welcome to my Internet home! As the pastor and principal of the Pittsburgh New Church and School, I teach both adults and children about the worlds around them, both physical and spiritual. I'm particularly interested in exploring how things work and why. Enjoy!
